Job summary

Luminator Technology Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to keep public transit technology running smoothly across various environments. You’ll diagnose, repair, install, and upgrade onboard systems, with a focus on customer-facing service and reliable field operations.

You will work in a dynamic setting, collaborating with multiple teams to ensure installations meet specs and performance standards, while maintaining thorough documentation and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Associates degree or equivalent military technical training preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting technical or engineering services.
• Ability to interpret wiring schematics required for this role.
• DC or automotive electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Luminator’s hardware and software and handle customer questions about the state of the system on various public transit vehicles.
• Provide on-site pre-start-up, start-up, contracted service work, warranty, troubleshooting, and training of Luminator products, and ensure equipment is operational and free of defects.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions on equipment.
• Accurately document the work that is performed at a customer facility and in preventive maintenance tasks.
• Handle customer service-related issues while fostering the customer relationship and solving technical problems on site.
