Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) in San Francisco seeks a Transit Fare Programs Planner/Analyst (Term-Limited) to help deliver fare initiatives, including the Clipper BayPass Pilot and interagency transfers. You will work with operator partners and internal Clipper staff to implement programs and assess outcomes.

The role requires knowledge of SF Bay Area transit, strong communication and presentation skills, and experience budgeting and coordinating cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, civil engineering, environmental science, communications, business or public administration.
• Two years of professional experience for Planner/Analyst II or five years for Planner/Analyst III.
• Transcript evaluation for international degrees may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support Clipper BayPass Pilot operations with transit operator partners and customers.
• Coordinate with MTC Clipper staff to implement fare initiatives.
• Evaluate fare initiatives using technical and customer-based methods.
• Develop budget requests, procurements, and other admin documents.
• Coordinate the Fare Programs Staff Working Group.
