Job summary

SMART Transit in Wilsonville, OR is seeking a Transit Driver to operate buses on scheduled routes, assist passengers, and deliver safe, friendly transportation for the community. Training is provided, and CDL with Passenger/Air Brake endorsements will be guided if not already held.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a commercial (bus) driving training program.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; CDL required or to be obtained with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
• Ability to pass training and obtain Class B Oregon CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements within required weeks.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit buses on scheduled routes and respond to dispatch requests.
• Assist passengers and provide safe, reliable customer service daily.
• Maintain vehicle safety through pre/post-trip inspections and proper documentation.
• Attend staff meetings and adhere to uniforms, procedures, and records keeping.
