Job summary

City of Wilsonville is seeking a Transit Driver to operate buses, assist passengers, and ensure safe and reliable transportation for the community. The role includes training toward a Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements, with emphasis on safety and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspections, passenger assistance, and maintaining records and logs. On-site work with a focus on dependable attendance and teamwork within the Transit Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a commercial (bus) driving training program.
• Six months of on-the-job training in a Transit Department or six months experience operating public transportation vehicles or school buses.

Responsibilities

• Operate the bus on scheduled routes and respond to dispatched transportation requests.
• Assist passengers and maintain a safe, courteous environment on board.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle records.
• Attend Transit Staff Meetings and maintain required logs and uniforms.
