Job summary

Hopelink is seeking a Public Transportation Bus Driver CDL/Trainee at our Bellevue/Kent-area locations in Washington. The role trains you to provide safe, on-time transit service while learning routes, schedules, and passenger assistance procedures.

The position offers paid training, CDL learner endorsement options, and potential progression after training. Compensation starts during training and increases with experience and CDL status.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for at least five (5) years within the United States.
• Must be able to provide Proof of Permanent Residency (US Passport, Birth Certificate, PR Card, etc.).
• Must pass a DOT Medical Examination.
• No suspensions or revocations of driver’s license in the last three years.
• Must hold, or obtain, a CDL Learner’s Permit with Passenger Endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous, on-time transportation to customers in vans, minibuses or small buses; adhere to traffic regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers by radio and provide verbal and written reports.
• Assist and secure passengers; provide special assistance as needed (doors, wheelchair lift, escorting).
• Maintain schedules on regular or special routes; collect fares; inform the public about routes and transfers.
• Inspect vehicle before and after operation; perform minor maintenance; keep vehicle clean.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance to provide dependable service.
