Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of dispatching experience.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Public transportation experience preferred.
• Prior dispatch/supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates information to drivers about schedule interruptions and alternate routes.
• Completes incident/occurrence reports.
• Verifies daily operator assignments and ensures runs pull on time.
• Uses routing software to monitor vehicles and trips; dispatches accordingly.
• Handles changes in trips, no-shows, and cancellations.
• Dispatches drivers based on client reservations and online applications.
• Responds to calls, reviews reservations, and confirms details with clients.
• Collaborates with routing specialists to optimize routes.
• Assists in determining daily driver staffing for optimal productivity.
