Job summary

The Rapid is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist to join our Grand Rapids team. This full-time role focuses on delivering positive, empathetic service, selling transit passes, handling cash and electronic transactions, assisting riders with trip planning, and responding to inquiries with professionalism.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of in-person customer service, plus basic computer skills and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of in-person customer service experience.
• Proficient with computers and basic transaction processing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, empathetic service to customers.
• Sell fare media and handle cash/electronic transactions accurately.
• Assist with trip planning and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Manage online orders and paperwork with accuracy.
• Produce ADA/reduced fare identification cards.
