Job summary

STV is seeking a Communications Engineering Specialist in Douglassville, PA to support the Transportation and Infrastructure Division, focusing on Electronic Security Systems (ESS) including Video Surveillance and Access Control across buildings, rail, and infrastructure projects.

The role offers hands-on experience with fiber/copper cabling, low-voltage power, conduit, networks, RF design, Public Address systems, telephone systems, and wireless tech, backed by experienced engineers in both

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or MicroStation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent organization, planning, and document control skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing construction contract drawings and specifications for low-voltage communication and security systems supporting both building and transit facilities.
• Gaining knowledge in applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and government standards.
• Assisting Senior Engineers in the development of technical papers, reports, and calculations.
• Preparing proposals, reports, and presentations for key audiences.
• Developing probable construction cost estimates for equipment and installation.
• Conducting VSS camera coverage simulations and system layout evaluations.
