Job summary

STV, Inc. in Douglassville, PA is seeking a Communications Engineering Specialist to support deployment of communication and control systems across buildings, rail, and infrastructure projects, with a focus on Electronic Security Systems (ESS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Access Control Systems (ACS).

You will learn from experienced engineers in fiber/copper cabling, low voltage distribution, conduit infrastructure, RF design for voice/data, Public Address/Passenger Information Systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or MicroStation.
• Demonstrated initiative, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and planning abilities, including document control and reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).

Responsibilities

• Developing construction contract drawings and specifications for low-voltage communication and security systems.
• Gaining knowledge in applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and government standards.
• Assisting Senior Engineers in the development of technical papers, reports, and calculations.
• Preparing proposals, reports, and presentations for key audiences.
• Developing probable construction cost estimates for equipment and installation.
• Conducting VSS camera coverage simulations and system layout evaluations.
