D/T Carson Enterprises, Inc. — Shuttle Bus Leasing is seeking a Diesel Bus Mechanic to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and overhaul transit buses and equipment. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel-powered vehicles per factory specs.

Responsibilities include reading orders, assisting with inspections, repairing brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and maintaining systems. CDL training, personal tools, and safety-compliant practices are required or supported by

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed — we train.
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience; substitute 1 year of related technical training for a year of experience.
• Ability to bring in personal tools.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Experience with Detroit Diesel 6v92 & 50 series is a plus.
• Diagnostic technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and overhaul transit buses and related equipment per manuals and factory specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunction.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains.
• Apply lubrication, cooling, exhaust and air/hydraulic systems as needed.
• Inspect and replace vehicle equipment and systems including HVAC, steering, and brakes.
• Enter work order data into computer systems.
