Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Designer to develop drawings for architectural and transportation projects under the supervision of a Registered Architect. You will contribute to design, detailing, drafting, and coordination across disciplines.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit and strong Microsoft Word/Excel skills are required, along with solid communication and technical writing abilities. A NAAB-accredited architecture degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-Accredited Program.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Pre-employment drug screening may be required; background and motor vehicle checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and prepare drawings for a variety of architectural and transportation projects.
• Perform architectural design, detailing and drafting of drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site visits to gather data (measurements, sketches, notes, photos).
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval.
• Review and approve shop drawings to meet project requirements.
• Read and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance.
• Coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants to ensure project success.
• Attend bi-weekly meetings with the project team to discuss progress and tasks.
• Ensure ISO compliance and budget adherence for projects.
• Complete tasks on time and within budget while meeting scope.
• Achieve or exceed budgeted utilization targets.
