Responsibilities

• Develop design and prepare drawings for architectural and transportation projects.
• Perform architectural design, detailing and drafting of drawings and specs.
• Conduct site visits to collect data (measurements, sketches, notes, photos).
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specs and cost estimates.
• Review and approve shop drawings to meet project requirements.
• Read and interpret technical documents required for the job.
• Coordinate with other practices and sub‑consultants for project success.
• Attend bi‑weekly meetings with the project team.
• Ensure ISO compliance and budget adherence on projects.
• Complete tasks on time and meet utilization targets.

The Architectural Designer will design and prepare drawings for various architectural and transportation projects. The Designer will work closely under the supervision of a Registered Architect, contributing to architectural design, detailing, drafting, and coordination of multiple design disciplines. This role requires a knowledge of architectural principles, relevant design software such as AutoCAD, or Revit, as well as strong communication, technical writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design and prepare drawings for a variety of architectural and transportation projects.
• Perform architectural design. detailing and drafting of architectural drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval.
• Review and approve shop drawings and ensure that they meet project requirements.
• Read and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance.
• Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required to ensure project success.
• Attend bi-weekly (or more frequent, as necessary) meetings with the project team to discuss project progress and tasks.
• Ensure that all projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements and operate within specified budget parameters.
• Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.
• Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as required or assigned.

Education and/or Skills Required
