Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology or related field.
• Licenses and Certifications: MT/MLS/BB (ASCP) or SBB (ASCP); new grads may be hired without certification but must earn it within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform transfusion testing including blood grouping, cross-match, and antibody identification per policies.
• Accession and register patient specimens; issue blood products with proper cross-reference checks.
• Maintain quality control and document corrective actions; monitor instrument and LIS alerts.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments; perform maintenance and resolve issues.
• Meet turnaround time targets and manage daily tasks for shift productivity.
• Participate in education activities and quality improvement initiatives.
