Job summary

Intelletec Energy seeks a Transformer Service Tech Level 2 for work at the Commerce City, CO facility and on customer sites. You will perform hands-on transformer repairs, inspections, oil handling, and basic electrical testing, with travel up to 65% (negotiable).

The role covers inspecting transformers, replacing bushings and switches, draining or filling oil, testing insulation, and safely operating forklifts and equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years shop/manufacturing experience.
• HS diploma/GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment, hand tools, power tools.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external transformer inspections and repairs.
• Change bushings, gauges, tap changers and switches with minimal supervision.
• Use pumps to drain or vacuum-fill transformers with insulating oil.
• Process transformer oil and draw oil samples.
• Make repairs or check connections inside a transformer, including climbing on top or entering the tank.
• Run basic electrical tests: turns ratio, insulation resistance, winding resistance, power factor.
• Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely within load/capacity limits.
• Drive a company truck/trailer to customer sites.
• Follow safety and environmental specifications for the work area.

The Company:

Confidential client, a company that tests, diagnoses and repairs transformers and switchgear for utility and industrial customers.

The Role:

Hands-on transformer repair, both at the Commerce City facility and customer sites. Covers inspection, component replacement, oil handling, and basic electrical testing, working inside the tank when needed.

What You'll Do:

Compensation & Benefits:

$33 to $50/hour depending on experience. $80/day per diem, gas and hotel on company card. Health/dental, 401k, 2 weeks sick + 2 weeks vacation, federal holidays off.
