Job description

MetroTek is looking for a skilled Transformer Field Service Technician to join our growing team. If you have hands‑on experience with transformer oil processing and component repair, and you’re ready to work in dynamic environments, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Repair/replace transformer components (bushings, radiators, gaskets, accessories)
• Re‑gasket units and fabricate custom gaskets/O‑rings
• Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues
• Safely operate tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment
• Complete work orders accurately and on time
• Follow strict safety protocols and PPE requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10 years in transformer service, oil processing, or assembly
• Able to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug/alcohol screening
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
• Willing to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable traveling and working outdoors in all conditions
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs., working at heights, and in confined spaces

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• OSHA 30, NFPA‑70, Class A CDL
• Experience testing transformers per NETA/ANSI standards
