Job summary

Confidential client in Commerce City, CO, or at customer sites, seeks an Electrical Testing Lead to perform hands-on testing, diagnosis and repair of transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers. You will split time between the Commerce City facility and customer locations, with safety-first operation of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities include executing tests per work orders, diagnosing issues, repairing or replacing components as needed, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on electrical testing of transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Comfortable with hand and power tools and general electrical equipment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to pass background check, Wonderlic, workers' comp history check and drug screen.

• Run testing per work order: turns ratio, insulation resistance, winding resistance, power factor, no load/full load, hi-pot, contact resistance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot transformer and switchgear issues, make repairs and check connections as needed.
• Test ATS, VFI, breakers and program relays (a plus, not required).
• Write test reports and flag issues to your supervisor.
• Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely within load/capacity limits.
• Work outdoors and in harsh conditions when assignments call for it.

Confidential client, a company that tests, diagnoses and repairs transformers and switchgear for utility and industrial customers.

The Role:

Hands‑on electrical testing of transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers, split between the Commerce City facility and customer sites. Real diagnostic and repair responsibility, not bench-only.

What You'll Do:

Compensation & Benefits:

$30 to $60/hour depending on experience. Per diem, hotel and gas covered for travel. Health/dental, 401k, 2 weeks sick + 2 weeks vacation, federal holidays off.
