Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA is a division of the SGB‑SMIT Group and offers a hands-on role in transformer manufacturing. You will perform incoming inspection, teardown and inspection of cores and coils, and assist with assembly and post‑processing tasks in a safe, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to pass drug screening and a nationwide background check. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Nationwide criminal background check must be satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of Transformer.
• Perform teardown and inspection of core and coil assembly.
• Load coils onto core and yoke core form or stack shell form.
• Repair, stack, and re‑insulate cores as required.
• Conduct phase assembly of shell form packages.
• Perform jacking of core blocking and insulation.
• Install units in oven or vacuum tank for processing.
• Clean and install or fabricate new structure.
• Clean and install de‑energized tap changers.
