Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA seeks skilled technicians to support manufacturing of power transformers and related components in Louisville, OH. You will read blueprints, use hand tools, and perform teardown and inspection of core and coil assemblies.

As part of a team that values accuracy and safety, you will repair, stack, and insulate cores, install units in ovens or vacuum tanks, and participate in quality checks to ensure reliable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Use a Caliper and Hand Tools.
• Perform teardown and inspection of core and coil assembly.
• Repair, stack, and re-insulate cores as required.
• Perform jacking of core blocking and insulation.
• Clean and install de-energized tap changers.
• Conduct phase assembly of shell form packages.
• Install units in oven or vacuum tank for processing.
