Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) seeks a Sr. Director of Transformer Engineering to provide strategic and technical leadership for design, repair, testing, and manufacturing support of transformer products.

You will build standards, strengthen technical depth, and drive safe, reliable, high-quality solutions aligned with customer expectations. This role leads a cross-functional engineering team, coordinates with operations and sales, and guides long-term capability development to support IPS

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering strategy for IPS transformer products, services, repair capabilities, standards, and long-term capability development.
• Provide senior technical leadership for transformer design review, diagnostics, testing, repair, refurbishment, and field engineering issues.
• Establish consistent engineering processes, documentation practices, and governance across transformer operations.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Partner with operations, sales, quality, supply chain, and leadership to improve execution and profitability.
• Support complex customer opportunities by reviewing requirements and advising on solution design.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for transformer failures, quality concerns, and non-standard repairs.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement in transformer performance.
• Identify engineering capability gaps and recommend investments in people, tools, and processes.
