Integrated Power Services (IPS) is a leading North American power management and transformer services provider. The Sr. Director of Transformer Engineering will shape engineering standards, mentor a high-performing team, and partner across functions to deliver safe, reliable transformer solutions.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, governance, and growth initiatives to meet customer expectations while aligning with IPS values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in transformers and power systems.
• 5+ years of leadership experience leading engineers or cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of power, distribution, and oil/dry-type transformers.
• PE license or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead engineering strategy for IPS transformer products and services.
• Provide senior technical leadership for design review, testing, repair, and field issues.
• Establish consistent engineering processes, documentation, and governance.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on safety and quality.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, quality, supply chain, and leadership to improve execution and profitability.
• Support complex customer opportunities with technical reviews and proposals.
• Serve as escalation point for transformer failures and quality concerns.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement of performance and reliability.
• Ensure alignment with customer specs, regulatory requirements, and IPS standards.
• Identify capability gaps and recommend investments in people, tools, and processes.
