Job summary

Hyosung HICO Ltd. in Memphis, TN, is seeking an Associate Winder to set up and operate winding machinery for power transformer coils. You will read prints, assemble coils, solder and braze conductors, and ensure units meet exact specifications.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, tool experience, and the ability to follow TPM and safety procedures. On-the-job training and opportunities for growth are available in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent with limited training/experience.
• Intermediate mechanical or technical skills.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings/specifications.
• Basic math, spatial, and geometry skills.
• Knowledge of basic industrial measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate winding machines for coils.
• Manufacture and finish basic coils (layer/helix/disc).
• Connect, solder, braze conductor per specifications.
• Inspect, verify, and document quality to meet tolerances.
• Read prints and BOMs to determine materials.
• Safely move, handle and store materials.
• Follow standard work procedures and TPM practices.
• Perform TPM and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Practice 6S and safety rules at all times.
• Operate cranes, forklifts and other handling equipment.
• Assist in training new employees and improving skills.
• Support Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager as needed.
