Job summary

Woburn Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher for Woburn High School to support grades 9–12 for the 2025-2026 school year. The teacher collaborates with instructional staff, leads IEP meetings, and designs inclusive, differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs.

Required MA DESE Moderate Special Needs certification (5-12); Bachelor's degree or higher, Master’s preferred. Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Lindamood Bell programs is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required; Master’s preferred.
  • Massachusetts DESE Certification in Moderate Special Needs (5-12) required.
  • Experience in diverse educational settings with families and students.

Responsibilities

  • Create inclusive, culturally responsive classrooms.
  • Provide instructional support and individualized/small-group instruction.
  • Modify curricula, differentiate instruction, and implement positive behavior supports.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers.
  • Lead IEP meetings and write progress notes with data.
  • Maintain accurate student records and communicate with families.
