Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish in Colorado is seeking a PRN Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate patients, design personalized therapy plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to restore mobility and independence.

The role requires collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and therapy teammates to achieve optimal outcomes in an acute care setting. Two weekend shifts per month plus summer and winter holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program with a BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Active Colorado Physical Therapy license required.
• Current BLS for HealthCare Providers certification.
• Experience or clinical rotation in acute care, long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute rehab settings preferred.
• Ability to obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and the care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on exercise programs and safety practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding organizational values.
