Job summary

Plano ISD is seeking an Elementary Teaching/K-2 Teacher to provide engaging learning experiences and support student growth. The role requires planning and delivering lessons aligned with district standards and TEA guidelines, while employing effective classroom management and collaboration with SPED staff.

The teacher will assess student progress, adapt instruction for diverse needs, and communicate with parents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree and Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements
• Experience with TEA guidelines, board policies, and IEPs preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills required

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum
• Present content following TEA guidelines and district policies
• Assess student learning and adapt instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with SPED staff to modify curricula per IEPs
• Plan instructional goals and use technology to support learning
• Establish positive communication with parents and staff
• Supervise classroom aides/volunteers as assigned
• Integrate technology into instruction and maintain records
