The Transformation Project Engineer supports law firm transformation and Generative AI adoption. Reporting to the Lead Transformation Project Engineer, you will support the full engagement lifecycle: gathering specific customer requirements, understanding particular legal practice nuances, building and testing bespoke AI-enabled workflow solutions, supporting pilots, and helping deliver the training that drives adoption among customers within the Legal Professionals segment.
This is a dynamic role that works directly with customers and suits someone with strong technical aptitude and an interest in legal technology, with a background in law or supporting legal practice. The role requires solid technical expertise in AI tools, prompt engineering, and Thomson Reuters products, as well as the ability to implement these solutions effectively across legal processes.
Requirements Gathering:Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that solutions align with businessobjectivesand technical specifications
Technical Expertise:Provideexpert guidance on the operation, use, prompting, application, and integration of AI technologies, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements. Be a product expert on CoCounsel Legal and other TR products
Workflow Mapping:Help create detailed workflow maps to visualize and streamline processes,facilitatingthe integration of AI technologies.
Develop and Deploy Custom Workflow Solutions:Design and implement bespoke workflow solutionsprimarily utilizingThomson Reuters'AI technologies
Maintain Workflow Solutions:Ensure the ongoing functionality and optimization of deployed solutions, addressing technicalissuesand responding to product changes
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and integration of solutions
Stakeholder Communication:Maintainopen lines of communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns related to project progress and outcomes
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, isrequired. Legal training and/or law firm experience is preferred
At least 3 years of experience in legal practice, legal operations, knowledge management, consulting, or similar fields, with a focus on technology implementationand/or AI solutions
Technical Proficiency:Demonstratedexpertisein AI technologies and their application/optimizationin developing workflow solutions
Prompt Engineering: Substantial understanding of Generative AI prompting principles and experience drafting, testing, and refining Generative AI prompts and queries.
Legal Fluency: Foundational competency in legal practice and law firm operations to design, test, and support legal workflow solutions
Project Management:Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time
Analytical Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions
Communication Skills:Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support stakeholder relationships andfacilitatecollaboration across teams

The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $74,200 USD - $137,800 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
