Job summary

Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to lead enterprise internal messaging across 13 colleges and the System Office, driving the Transformation Communications Framework and a one enterprise narrative.

The role partners with executive leadership to translate strategy into audience-specific messages across multiple channels, develops ambassador tools, coaches leaders, and manages multi-channel campaigns with strong analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Organizational Communications, Public Administration, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, and/or change communications or functionally similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal communication campaigns translating CCCS strategy into audience-specific, action-oriented messages.
• Develop and manage internal communications architecture across email newsletters, intranet pages, internal chat channels, employee portals to ensure consistency, timeliness, and discoverability of information.
• Produce content including leader emails, Q&As, scripts for town halls, video briefs, intranet articles, and manager toolkits.
• Partner with transformation leads to define what is changing, who is affected, and what input is being considered.
• Develop ambassador tools and frameworks for Presidents, VPs, and managers to contextualize enterprise strategy locally.
• Coach and equip enterprise leadership to be effective communicators of the systemwide vision and strategy.
• Lead strategy and execution of internal-facing executive-level communications and prepare leaders for town halls, panel discussions, and other engagements.
• Provide rapid-turnaround briefing notes, talking points, and message framing during crises or high-visibility events.
