Job summary

Mathnasium locations hire dedicated tutors to teach math to students in grades 2 through 12, using the Mathnasium Method. Tutors work in-center, online, or in a hybrid delivery model to deliver individualized instruction.

You will assess student progress, collaborate with teammates, and maintain a safe, encouraging learning environment. The role requires passion for math, strong people skills, and a willingness to learn and be trained, with math competency through Algebra I.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks.
• All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment.
