Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac Rehab in Lexington, VA. The role supports cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, performing assessments, creating personalized exercise plans, and guiding recovery both inpatient and outpatient.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and internship experience; ACSM CEP or related certification is needed if no Master’s degree or if experience is under 10 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum internship experience as specified or equivalent.
• ACSM CEP or related certification required if no master’s degree and <10 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical exercise physiology services in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Develop and modify individualized treatment plans and exercise prescriptions.
• Perform non-invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic testing.
• Educate patients on disease processes, recovery, and risk modification.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
