A locally owned construction materials company in Redmond, Oregon is seeking experienced drivers for tractor-trailer combinations. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of CDL driving experience, knowledge of DOT regulations, and a strong customer service orientation. Qualifications

• Two years of CDL driving experience with an acceptable DMV record.
• Must keep CDL and Medical Card up-to-date.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
• Must be able to work extended hours including weekends as business requires.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
• Training specific to our products and trucks will be provided.
• Knowledge of DOT reporting requirements.
• Skills to use truck controls properly.
• Ability to think and move quickly and react properly when unexpected happens and continually review in mind what reaction will be taken in numerous emergency scenarios.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, employees, and all other contacts.
• Knowledge of Hooker Creek's expectations for quality, professional, service oriented mannerism.
• Ability to display professional appearance and demeanor (public relations).

Responsibilities

• Drive between plants in Central Oregon to deliver product safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers and employees.
• Communicate professionally with customers, employees and contacts; represent Hooker Creek positively.
• Be ready for extended hours including weekends when needed.

We are an award winning company providing sand & gravel, ready-mix concrete, rental equipment and supplies, new and used equipment, and trucking. Hooker Creek is a locally owned, family run company. Drivers are home every night.

We are hiring drivers with experience with tractor-trailer combinations and truck and pup to drive between our plants in Central Oregon, taking direction from dispatch and delivering product in a safe and efficient way. Our preferred candidate will have experience hauling sand and gravel aggregate as well as experience hauling heavy loads at 105.5k lbs.
