Job summary

RiverBend Materials, a CRH company, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Haul Truck Driver to operate haul trucks and other construction equipment at our Oregon sites. You will move materials from stockpiles to the crusher, with training provided if needed. Expect a 5am–5pm schedule, M–F, with potential overtime during busy seasons.

Wage starts at $27.14+ per hour, DOE. We value safety, reliability, and teamwork in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment with strong promotion opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators and others.
  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Safety-minded with good attendance and punctuality.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to conform to OSHA, MSHA, DOT and company/state rules.
  • US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate haul truck and equipment to move materials and report issues to manager.
  • Coordinate with quarry staff to meet daily schedules and production needs.
  • Perform minor servicing and maintenance on plant equipment and conduct inspections.
  • Maintain daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
  • Ensure timely attendance and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

What You'll Do

Location: Eugene & Corvallis, OR.

Wage: $27.14+/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime during our busy season.

Shift : Approx M-F, 5am-5pm. Hours may vary based on business demands.

What You Can Do (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, and other employees.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with running dump trucks, haul trucks, or similar for aggregate materials within a quarry a plus.
  • Mechanical skills, basic knowledge of aggregate products a plus.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as haul truck, skid steer, and man lift and report any problems to your manager in a timely fashion.
  • Must partner with other quarry employees as instructed by the facility manager to ensure daily schedules are met.
  • Perform minor servicing and maintenance on plant equipment as needed, using ladders to access platforms and landings.
  • Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
