Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Transfer Specialist in Arlington, TX to handle care, removal, and transport of deceased. You will drive company vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and interact with families with sensitivity.

You will cooperate with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, or care facilities, and document events in our proprietary software. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Availability to work weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company owned vehicles to perform first call transfer of deceased in accordance with laws and company policies.
• Enter deceased event information into proprietary software per procedures.
• Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes; assist with moving caskets.
• Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles; maintain vehicle cleanliness and appearance.
• Interact with families in a courteous, sensitive manner and support bereaved relatives.

This position will collaborate with other team members as required to ensure processes and procedures remain in compliance. Safely and courteously drive company owned vehicles. Maintains company vehicles cleanliness. Follows processes for chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identificationCooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and accommodate their processes and proceduresFor home transfers, courteously and professionally interacts with bereaved family members; exhibits sensitivity to environment; minimizes conversation.
