Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Transfer Driver to help transport equipment between centers, dealerships and the repair shop. You will perform visual inspections, complete receipt and intake paperwork electronically, and maintain a driver log while supporting a high‑quality customer experience.

This role offers a $100 hiring bonus, paid holidays, vacation and sick days where eligible, and opportunities for advancement, with training in Ford and GMC classes and a tool purchase program.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to use mobile transfer programs.
• DOT certification if required—can be sponsored by U-Haul.
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
• Transport equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships and the repair shop.

• Team Members may assist in additional areas as directed by their supervisor.

Transfer Driver Primary Responsibilities

• Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
• Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships and the repair shop.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment.
• Maintain a driver log.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.

Transfer Driver Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Able to use mobile transfer programs
• D.O.T. certification if required—can be sponsored by U-Haul
• Must be 18 or older

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
