James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, seeks a Coordinator of Special Population Transitions to join the Transfer Credit team within the Office Of The Registrar. This full-time role focuses on evaluating transfer credits for special populations and posting credits to matriculated students’ records.

The position requires strong organizational skills, ability to handle confidential information, and experience with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Ability to handle and prioritize a large volume of work.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student record.
Ability to work independently but seek advice when needed.
Ability to serve constituents in a personable and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Coordinate receipt/review of transcripts for admitted special populations.
Review course descriptions and consult with departments to assign credit.
Counsel prospective students and advisors on transfer policies.
Post credit to matriculated students’ official record.
Coordinate transfer credit requests for continuing special population students.
Assist in updating the Transfer Credit Equivalency Guide.
Support Veterans Benefits Team by analyzing prior learning credits and enrollment reporting.
