Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support patient placement across our hospital network. You will accept incoming referral information via multimedia channels and coordinate patient flow to appropriate community hospitals within the Penn State Health system.

This role emphasizes collaboration with the patient placement staff at Hershey Medical Center and surrounding sites.

Qualifications

• Three years of nursing experience required.
• Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for accepting incoming referral information for all PSH entities via multimedia, managing patient placement at PSH community hospitals, as well as collaborating and supporting the patient placement staff at PSH Hershey Medical Center. Coordinates, prioritizes, and optimizes patient flow for the Penn State Health system using knowledge of clinical and operational activities throughout the hospital network.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Three (3) years Nursing experience required, preferably Critical Care and / or Emergency Department experience
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
