Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a part-time Scheduling Specialist to manage patient visits, including new and follow-up appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling, as well as coordinating pre-operative and diagnostic tests and procedures for the assigned area.

This evening-shift role offers a $2.00/hour shift differential, requires a high school diploma and at least one year of experience; familiarity with scheduling and billing systems and knowledge of insurance

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for the scheduling of patient visits (including new, follow-up, cancellations, and rescheduling requests), pre-operative and/or diagnostic tests, and procedures (including operative and invasive procedures for assigned area of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year experience required.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of scheduling and/or billing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers preferred.
