Job summary

State Street in Stamford or Boston seeks an AVP for Transfer Agency and Intermediary Oversight to lead governance and oversight of mutual fund operations with transfer agents and intermediaries. You will drive reporting, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and business partners.

The role requires 5-8 years in transfer agency/intermediary operations, a Bachelor’s degree, and a client-first, risk-aware mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
5-8 years of experience in transfer agency/intermediary operations.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of DTCC/Mutual Fund Profile II, DST Vision and Financial Intermediary portals.
Working knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, and related structures.

Responsibilities

Oversee transfer agency and intermediary servicing activities end-to-end.
Review and validate financial intermediary payments (12b-1, shareholder servicing, revenue share).
Lead annual intermediary oversight activity and cross-functional meetings.
Coordinate intermediary setups with transfer agents and manage contracts.
Prepare quarterly board reporting and client-facing communications.
Serve as liaison with internal teams and external agents for servicing discussions.
Monitor DTCC Profiles II and other intermediary portals; manage end-to-end in-kind trades.
