The position contributes to outreach, engagement initiatives, and collaboration with campus partners to improve credit mobility and timely graduation for students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of direct experience advising, coaching, or counseling college students.
• Experience working with North Carolina transfer students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising to prospective and enrolled transfer and adult students through in-person and virtual appointments.
• Maintain a caseload of 49erNext students and provide proactive pre-transfer advising.
• Explain how prior credits apply to degree requirements and course sequencing.
• Develop group advising sessions and scalable resources for transfer guidance.
• Support outreach, engagement programs, and campus partnerships.
• Monitor inquiries and maintain timely, student-centered information.
