Job summary

Winthrop University seeks a Transfer Enrollment Coordinator to support recruitment, admissions and enrollment of transfer students, focusing on NC/SC community/technical colleges. You will liaise with York Technical College and oversee the Bridge Program to ensure a coordinated, student-centered transfer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in college admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, student services or related area.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of college admissions and student recruitment strategies and best practices.
• Knowledge of Winthrop’s marketing/recruitment strategies, policies and procedures or ability and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of counseling/guidance techniques and the ability to advise students on enrollment, financial aid and academic opportunities.
• Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to make presentations that inform and engage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, parents and the general public.
• Sufficient technical skill to master required software.
• Ability and willingness to travel to assigned off-campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Transfer Admissions and Enrollment: Counsel and advise prospective transfer students on admissions requirements, opportunities, financial aid resources and enrollment processes.
• Transfer Admissions and Enrollment: Review transfer applications and render admissions decisions per policies and criteria.
