Job summary

DePaul University is hiring an Admissions Counselor in Chicago to execute targeted recruitment activities and support enrollment goals. The role involves counseling prospective students, managing a specified territory, and coordinating information sessions and events on and off campus.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, residence in the Chicagoland area, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience in higher education or admissions is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong planning, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and student databases.
• Experience using a CRM (preferably Slate).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong counseling and group presentation skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
• Residency in the Chicagoland area is required.

Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and families about admission criteria and factors in the educational decision process.
• Manage an assigned territory and host information sessions and events on and off campus.
• Maintain territory/enrollment data in the CRM (Slate) and document communications with inquiries, prospects, and applicants.
• Cultivate relationships with colleges, departments, counselors, and community contacts to enhance service and enrollment outcomes.
