Pfeiffer University seeks an admissions counselor for the undergraduate admissions office to recruit students, counsel families, and manage outreach across Central North Carolina. You will travel to high schools and college fairs, meet with applicants, and review files.

This full-time, 12-month exempt role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong written and verbal communication skills. Expect evening and weekend travel during peak seasons.

To serve the undergraduate admissions office as an admissions counselor and participate as part of the overall Enrollment team. Recruit students, perform counseling, external outreach and application review are all significant functions of this position. This position will serve as a key team member of the admissions department and represent Pfeiffer in a positive manner at all times.This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt, staff position.Duties and Responsibilities:Represent the University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.Attend college fairs and high school visitsPlan and implement recruitment activities for assigned high schools and territories, including travel in assigned territories.Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the University.One-on-one admissions counseling. Admissions counseling occurs primarily by in-person appointments, phone calls, emails and texts.Review files submitted by applicants for the purposes of making admission decisions.
