Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, build, and test operations on space and aerospace hardware per approved procedures and drawings.
  • Set up and operate specialized equipment including ovens, test stands, leak test systems, and fixtures.
  • Perform Dye Penetrant testing per approved procedures, including pre-cleaning, application, inspection, and post-cleaning.
  • Document work in manufacturing systems, routers, travelers, and inspection records.
  • Identify and escalate issues impacting safety, quality, or schedule; support troubleshooting and rework as needed.

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Transducer Tech - A to join our team in Bethel, CT!The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday.The hourly range for this position is $27-$37 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:As Transducer Tech A, you will build, assemble, inspect, and test aerospace hardware by following detailed procedures, drawings, and work instructions. You will operate specialized production and test equipment and perform Dye Penetrant (Dye Pen), leak testing, and ATP, while accurately documenting all work in manufacturing systems. This role requires careful handling of sensitive and customer owned hardware, adherence to safety, quality, and ITAR requirements, and support of troubleshooting and rework activities to meet program commitments.In this role, you will:• Perform assembly, build, and test operations on space and aerospace hardware in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, and work instructions including handling of sensitive components and customer-owned hardware.• Set up and operate specialized equipment such as, ovens, test stands, leak test systems, pressure stands, and other production or test fixtures.• Perform Dye Penetrant (Dye Pen) processes in accordance with approved procedures, including pre-cleaning, application, inspection, and post-cleaning requirements.• Follow all quality, safety, EHS, and housekeeping standards, including proper use of PPE and adherence to clean work area practices.• Accurately document work performed in manufacturing systems, routers, travelers, and inspection records.• Identify and escalate process issues, equipment concerns, or inspection findings that could impact safety, quality, or schedule.• Maintain tools, fixtures, and inspection equipment in proper working conditions and report any issues promptly.• Support schedule recovery efforts, including overtime and weekend work, as required to meet program commitments.• Comply with ITAR, customer, and regulatory requirements applicable to space and defense programs.• Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing initiatives.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required.• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience in a related area of responsibility.• Previous solder and test equipment experience• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
