Job summary

Eaton's IS AER MSD division is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician II for 1st shift to perform assembly and testing of aerospace hardware. You will develop hardware, set up functional tests, and collaborate with engineering to ensure quality components and systems are delivered on time.

Responsibilities include following safety standards, maintaining operator certifications, using ERP systems and standard tools, and communicating production needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant manufacturing/mechanical experience or military experience.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
• No immigration sponsorship for this position; CPT/OPT/STEM OPT not offered.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test aerospace production hardware following written instructions.
• Develop hardware, create functional test setups, and engage with engineering for quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor on part availability, equipment, status, and schedule updates.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards; obtain and maintain Certified Operator status.

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking an Assembly & Test Technician II - 1st Shift.The hourly rate for this position is $24-$28.50 per hour.The core hours are 7am-3pm.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Assembly & Test Technician is responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware. Development of hardware, creating functional test setups, working with various high-pressure gases, and initiating engineering collaboration to successfully deliver quality aerospace components and systems. Technicians are Responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. Perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system.In this function you will:• Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met.• Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines.• Possess knowledge/experience with assembly and test requirements. Ability to evaluate mechanical systems, use of common assembly tools/measuring equipment.• Independently perform low and moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions.• Ability to perform low to moderate complexity product testing using test equipment while following written acceptance test documents.• Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation.• Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision.• Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.• 2 years of relevant manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experience• Previous experience using various hand tools and measuring equipment.• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
