Job summary

The Georgia Student Finance Commission is seeking a detail-oriented Transcript Specialist I to support HOPE Scholarship and Grant programs. You will handle HS and postsecondary transcript processing, eligibility evaluations, and user support for STARS, CHECS, and GAfutures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience; 1+ year in student records, financial aid, or eligibility processing
• Strong customer service experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for HS transcript processes (STARS/TES) and Postsecondary Eligibility systems (CHECS/PSI)
• Provide front-line customer support to high schools and postsecondary institutions regarding HOPE and Zell Miller scholarships
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and web-based systems in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
• Review, evaluate, and process high school and postsecondary transcript data for accuracy and completeness
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, file errors, and rejected records
• Perform data corrections and updates per established policies
