Job summary

LifeStance Health is hiring a TMS Technician in Lakeland, FL to provide direct care for patients receiving Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for depression. You will work under a physician, administering and managing clinical services, and performing related office tasks.

The role requires CMA certification, 2+ years healthcare experience, BLS/CPR, and strong communication. Occupational duties include patient interaction, scheduling, insurance coordination, and equipment upkeep in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Two+ years of healthcare experience.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Experience with data management software and office tech.
  • Experience operating medical/mechanical devices.
  • Strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients to discuss TMS procedures and next steps.
  • Handle TMS-related calls, provide information and scheduling support.
  • Verify insurance, gather information, and manage prior authorizations.
  • Coordinate new patient paperwork and upload to chart in EHR.
  • Assist with appointment scheduling, payments, and balance collection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of TMS equipment and treatment area.

This position will offer the opportunity to provide patient care with a breakthrough treatment modality for the treatment of depression. We are seeking an individual that will be trained to administer in office therapeutic treatments under the direction of our Physician. This individual’s primary responsibility will be to administer and manage the specific clinical services, interact regularly with patients, and additional office administrative tasks when time provides.Compensation: Starting at $21.00/hourly, plus quarterly bonus/incentive potentialLocation: 930 Alicia Rd Lakeland, FL 33801Responsibilities:• Patient Communication and Coordination:o Engage with patients to discuss Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) procedures, ensuring clarity and understanding.o Handle TMS-related calls from patients, providing comprehensive information and assistance.o Utilize standard protocols to assess the eligibility of new patients for TMS and schedule the initial consultation with the TMS provider based on the patient's preferred location.o Contact patients and answer incoming patient calls to schedule appointments. o Address inquiries related to payment and facilitate payment collections.o Engage with patients to discuss and resolve outstanding balances, facilitating prompt payments.• Administrative Support and Appointment Managemento Review, update, and organize insurance information following established protocols.o Gather patient information, document, submit and manage prior authorizations for patients seeking treatment.o Ensure that all requisite new patient paperwork is completed accurately and uploaded to the patient's chart prior to the scheduled appointmento Send and accept patient forms as needed through the Electronic Health Record. o Coordinate care with internal and external clinicians.o Exercise good judgement and professionalism.• Patient Interaction & Equipment Upkeepo Utilize high tech TMS equipment (training provided) as a member of the care team.o Engage with the patient during treatment sessions, ensuring that the patient stays comfortable and alerto Ensure the TMS chair is clean and disinfected/wiped down between patients.o Provide an efficient experience for patients by maintaining a well-organized clinic prep and workflow.• Travel Requirementso Occasional travel within the assigned region may be required to provide coverage as neededo Travel within region to market TMS services within the community including to other mental health providers, community centers and hospital systemsSkills & Experience:Certified Medical Assistant certification preferredTwo or more years of related experience within a healthcare settingBLS and CPR certifiedProficient in Microsoft office with exposure to some data management softwareExperience with operating a medical/mechanical deviceStrong communication skills and detailed orientedQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United StatesLifeStance is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected statusDemonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culturePhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
