Job summary

Family Care Center in Englewood, CO seeks a TMS Tech Trainee/Tech to administer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatments and support patient care. You will monitor for adverse effects, assist with device setup, and document care in the EHR, as well as collaborate with psychiatrists to ensure proper treatment protocols.

The role offers on-site hours with no weekend or evening shifts, a competitive hourly wage of $23.00 for trainees and $24.00–$27.00 for qualified techs, plus comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Administers TMS treatments and supports patients during sessions with positive communication.
• Monitor for adverse effects and report to care team per FCC procedures.
• Troubleshoot patient comfort, coil contact, and system setup during treatment.
• Complete clinical and administrative documentation in EHR and paper as needed.
• Assist with collecting rating scales and follow treatment protocols with providers.
• Provide psychoeducation on healthy lifestyle and collaborate with team.
• Operate electrophysiologic recording device settings where applicable and log data.
• Follow workflows and SOPs in clinical and operational processes.

Position Overview: Provide TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatment, monitor and build relationships with our patients during those treatments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Administers TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments and supports patient during treatments using positive communication and reinforcement to ensure optimal results are achieved.
• Monitor for adverse effects and notify the care team. Assist in the management of adverse effects including seizures in accordance with FCC policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
• Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation to accepted standards of practice, accurately, legibly, and by established timelines on electronic health record (EHR) system and paper as needed.
• Assist with gathering rating scales and other assessments as directed by overseeing psychiatrist and FCC minimum requirements.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure understanding and usage of proper treatment protocols.
• Provide psychoeducation curriculum to patients, communicate, and educate patients on importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
• Where applicable, operate and control settings of electrophysiologic recording device. Measure, calculate, and log recorded electrophysiologic information. Operate and control settings of electrophysiologic recording device. Measure, calculate, and log recorded electrophysiologic information.
• Follow clinical and operational processes in accordance with workflows and SOPs.
  

Other Duties

• Participate in scheduled individual supervision, care team meetings, in-service, training, interdisciplinary work groups, staff meetings, and other required meetings.
• If appropriately qualified as a Medical Assistant, may be required to back up/float into Medical Assistant duties as requested by Supervisor.
• Occasional travel to alternate Family Care Center clinic locations for patient coverage or training purposes including before/after business hours. May be asked to provide extended coverage if needed.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor and/or providers.

Minimum Qualifications

Selected candidates will be slotted in either the TMS Tech Trainee or TMS Tech based on relevant years of experience.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• TMS tech experience, Experience in healthcare (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
• Must complete FCC TMS, Brainsway, MagVenture and Appollo trainings within 8 weeks of hire.
• Current driver’s license required.

TMS Tech Trainee Hourly compensation: $23.00

• Minimum six months TMS tech experience required. Experience in healthcare (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
• TMS Certification required within first year of employment.
• Current driver’s license required.

TMS TECH Hourly compensation range: $24.00 - $27.00 based on years of relevant experience.
