Job summary

Expeditors is seeking an individual in Phoenix, Arizona to manage the on-time and accurate pick-up, processing, and transfer of Transcon shipments. The role demands outstanding customer service and effective communication with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Preferably has 6 months to 1 year of related experience or equivalent education.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple job functions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the operational system.
• Track and trace Transcon files and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
• Interact with customers to arrange their shipments.

Job description

Summary

Manage the on‑time and accurate pick‑up, process, and transfer of Transcon shipments with a sense of urgency. Offer best‑in‑class customer service to Expeditors customers and network of destination branches.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Transcon files and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing
• Ensure delivery of freight and timely clearance when applicable
• Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customers service standards
• Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers
• Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy
• Understand customers procedures and maintain updated internal SOPs

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven verbal and written skills.
• Detailed oriented with ability to manage multiple job functions with minimal supervision
• Pro‑active, strong organizational skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Fluent in English
