Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Transcon Agent for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm to 12am) to support freight flow, data entry, and billing accuracy. This full-time position requires 6 months to 1 year of related experience and a customer-focused mindset.

You will interact with customers to arrange shipments, track transmissions, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Hazardous Materials certification is preferred, with growth opportunities within Expeditors’ global network.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Second Shift Position (Mon-Fri, 3pm to 12am).
• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
• Track and Trace Transcon files and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
• Ensure delivery of freight and timely clearance when applicable.
• Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customers service standards.
• Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy.
• Understand customers procedures and maintain updated internal DLSOPs.
