Job summary

Expeditors is hiring for a Transcon Agent on the 3rd shift (4 days, 10-hour shifts) in Wisconsin. The role focuses on ensuring smooth freight flow, timely data entry, tracking Transcon files, and accurate client/vendor billing while meeting service standards.

The candidate will interact with customers, coordinate shipments, and maintain supplier relationships, with opportunities for growth within a Fortune 500 global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including listening, comprehension, and clear, concise communication.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Enter data accurately into the operations system.
• Track and trace Transcon files and reporting.
• Billing accuracy for clients and vendors in a timely manner.
• Coordinate delivery and clearance where applicable.
• Interact with customers to arrange shipments meeting service standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
• Meet KPI standards per company policy.
• Understand customer procedures and update internal DLSOPs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability and desire to work 3rd shift (4 10's)
• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Transcon files and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing
• Ensure delivery of freight and timely clearance when applicable
• Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customers service standards
• Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers
• Meet compliance at all times?
• Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy
• Understand customers procedures and maintain updated internal DLSOPs
