Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking a logistics specialist to maintain high service levels, ensure timely shipment execution, and uphold data integrity across our order-to-cash process.

The role emphasizes accurate billing, proactive client communication, and compliance with SOPs and KPIs, with opportunities for cross-training and internal growth within a global logistics network.

• Displayed ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• An intimate understanding of Export Compliance.
• Willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely shipment process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system based on defined metrics.
• Track and trace shipments.
• Provide proactive and clear communication to internal and external customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing, including dispute resolution.
• Understand customer expectation to ensure all the elements of the SOP and KPI’s are met.
• Ensure compliance to company policies and external regulations.
• Complete cross training to support team coverage.
• Professionally represent Expeditors to customers, service providers, and government agencies.
• Review files and complete billing with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review invoices and send charges.
• Manage destination charges and special billing procedures (e.g., White Glove).
• Post financial transactions promptly.
• Monitor accounting and billing reports.
• Ensure files are settled and closed out properly.
• Ensure billing meets internal billing standards and KPIs.
• Support audit readiness through proper documentation and accuracy.
• Monitor service provider billing sheets.
• Escalate billing discrepancies and exceptions.

• Achieve standard of 52 hours training per year, including all mandatory trainings

• Certifications including: Certified Export Clearance Specialist, Dangerous Goods – Ground and Air, IATA/FIATA, Export Compliance Specialist, Customs Broker, Sales Certification, Transition and Implementation

Expected Hourly Range: $22.00 – $30.00
