Job summary

A technology firm in Sugar Land, Texas is seeking a Transceiver Test Engineer to test and support the development of high-speed optical transceivers. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Optical engineering and be bilingual in Mandarin. Responsibilities include verifying transceiver performance, maintaining testing equipment, and developing automated testing software. Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering experience for Bachelor's or 1+ year for Master's degree.
• Experience in engineering laboratory environments.
• Experience with optical transceiver communication link testing.

Responsibilities

• Test and verify high-speed optical transceivers (800G to 1.6Tbps).
• Maintain optical transceiver testing equipment.
• Conduct communication link tests as per standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot link failures.
• Develop automatic testing software using LabView/Python.
• Document qualification test reports.

Skills

Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin)

Knowledge of Linux

Experience with Python

Familiarity with LabVIEW

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Optical engineering

Master's degree in relevant field
